Aurine Ski Dolomiti

Forcella Aurine is a small ski resort located on the Forcella Aurine pass, between Gosaldo (3.6 km away) and Voltago Agordino (7.6 km away). The station is located in the Agorder Dolomites, at the foot of the Southern Range of the Pale di San Martino, Croda Granda, and Agner. On the south, the view is on the Val del Mis area, Monti del Sole, and the Cimonega group, an integral part of the National Park Dolomiti Bellunesi.

The Forcella Aurine pass is crossed by the S. 347 of Passo Cereda and Duran and is 15 minutes from the town of Agordo. Among the services, you can find a bar, a restaurant, winter equipment rental, and a small winter clothing store. The slopes for alpine skiing and snowboarding unfold on the northern slopes of Monte Gardelon and show various difficulties: green for the school field, black for Gemini, blue for Gemini Bassa and Gardelina, red for Bepi. Most of the tracks have artificial snow.

The Forcella Aurine area offers 4 kilometers of ski slopes of varying difficulty. The modest dimensions of the skiable surface are not misleading. The Aurine Ski Dolomiti is an area that offers a good range of difficulties and where ski teams from all over Veneto often stop. They are also ideal for the needs of children and families. Night skiing is practiced thanks to the lighting of the Bepi slope and the Monte Gardelon ski lift. If you want to descend in total safety in the evening, you can also trust the SKIALP.

The area is suitable for various snowshoe trails, from the simplest in the Poi and Gardelon woods to more challenging ones on the slopes of Agner and Croda Granda. Lovers of cross-country skiing will find an easy loop in Forcella Aurine and the medium-difficulty one in Val Bordina in the municipality of La Valle Agordina that crosses the town. It consists of 3 routes of different difficulty levels, one of which is illuminated for 1.2 km. For ski mountaineering and hiking, there are numerous routes in the Conca Agordina or the Dolomites, including the Duran Pass, Frassenè, Gosaldo, and Val Corpassa. The station was founded in 1965 by Marcello and Valerio De Dorigo. Marcello was a Nordic ski athlete in the years 1956-1964 that won 8 Italian titles and was the first athlete in the world able to beat Nordic cross-country skiers in international competitions.

For some years, the entire area has been managed by a group of young people who have created a doc company called DESMA SRL. The group, active in the relaunch of the ski area for the winter season, also wants to enhance the entire surrounding area by creating various events in all seasons. There are also numerous activities during summer, including E-BIKE excursions, walking tours, children’s playgrounds, and much more.
